The Way We Work

Heather Weir is a UX, Product, and organizational transformation leader with over 20 years of experience helping teams build products, solve complex problems, and create meaningful experiences. My career has spanned startups and global enterprises, from building product and design organizations from the ground up to leading enterprise-scale transformation at the intersection of design, technology, and business strategy.

Her work focuses on one of the most significant shifts in how we work: the integration of AI into product development and organizational ways of working. She lead AI-driven transformation initiatives, exploring how teams can harness AI to accelerate execution, rethink traditional workflows, and collaborate more effectively across UX, Product, and Engineering. This work goes beyond adopting new tools. It is about transforming how people and organizations operate while preserving the human expertise that drives quality, innovation, and meaningful business outcomes.

Throughout her career, She’s helped bring more than 40 products to market, served as Head of Product and Head of Design for a venture-backed CRM company. She partners with senior leadership at Oracle to advance product strategy, develop new operating models, and lead AI-enabled transformation across organizational boundaries. Heather’s background also includes patented design innovation, a MA in Leadership from Georgetown University, and a deep commitment to developing people and building high-performing teams.

AI is fundamentally changing how we execute our work, but the expertise we have spent our careers developing remains essential to creating meaningful outcomes. The future isn’t about making everyone interchangeable. It’s about understanding what makes our individual expertise valuable and finding new ways to bring our strengths together.

In The Way We Work, Heather shares lessons learned from leading AI transformation in practice. She explores the evolving roles of UX, Product, and Engineering, the challenges of organizational change, and what it means to lead people through a future that is still taking shape. She believes that by sharing our experiences, challenging assumptions, and remaining curious, we can help shape better ways of working.
